(FAQ from Current Website

  1. How much experience do you have with this type of work?
We’ve been renovating homes together for 3 years, but separately we have experience in renovations for well over 15 years.
  2. What is your payment structure?
70% deposit (to secure materials, cabinetry, windows, workers, suppliers), 20% progress payment when work begins, 10% on practical completion. Snags are resolved after final payment.
  3. Do you offer a guarantee on your work?
Yes, workmanship is guaranteed for 1 year. Suppliers (cabinetry, aluminium, materials) may have additional guarantees.
  4. How long will my project take?
It depends on complexity, but generally:
  • Bathrooms: 2–3 weeks

  • Kitchens: 3–4 weeks
We work quickly and effectively to keep disruption minimal.

  1. From paying deposit, when can the project start?
Depends on the project type and our schedule. Cabinetry takes 2–4 weeks to manufacture before installation. With multiple teams, we can handle 2–3 projects at once.
  2. Will you be working on other projects at the same time as my job?
Yes, there is often overlap, but either Candice or Tori is hands-on and present to supervise and keep everything on time.
  3. Will there be subcontractors on the project?
Yes, we use trusted specialists and contractors we’ve worked with repeatedly.
  4. How do you handle design changes/change orders?
It depends. If cabinetry has been signed off and is in production, additional fees apply for changes. For other changes (e.g. extra tiling, painting), we can update the quote.
  5. Will you take care of permits/plans?
Yes, we involve structural engineers for changes and architects for new or updated plans. Additional charges apply if those professionals are required.
  6. Do you provide clean-up or removal during and after the job? Is there a cost involved?
We do a basic clean-up daily. Dust is unavoidable but we minimize it. Rubble removal is charged extra—we usually use a skip.
  7. Do we have to move out?
It depends on the scale of renovation. For larger/messier phases, we recommend moving out for a few days so work can go faster and with less discomfort to you.
